Hello there! I am back from a small hiatus we've got a busy busy couple of months ahead of us (in a wedding party, brian has a show, find a place to move by the end of this month YIKES, pack, move, family coming to visit, going to visit family) Send help if you please? 

Here is week the eight portraits! (finally)

Also part of the (embarrassing) reason it had taken me so long to post week eight is because I've had such a hard time narrowing it down! With my "editor's" (Aka Brian) we were only able to narrow it down to all of these, even though she is pretty much making the same face in much of the pictures! So again here is another photo heavy post! Ooops! We just think she is way.too.cute!!!!!!!!!

Hello there! Hope you all had a lovely valentine's day! Ours was very low key here is a little "photo strip" of our love bug opening a little gift. (If I were really cool I'd make this into an animated GIF...wait that's what they're called right?)

What we wore

Time to back into outfit posts! Whoo! Slowly but surely getting to my goal!

This first one was a learning experience to say the least....

First it turned out I grabbed the wrong tripod, then Avery started to get fussy so we took the pictures in a hurry and ended up with sun in our faces (if only we could have waited 15 more minutes) So when we tried again later that day I ended up getting a little carried away with capturing the awesome background rather than our outfits (you'll see what I mean) and lastly my camera battery died!!

I can say after a few (okay maybe more than a few) notes to myself I am looking forward to our next outfit post!

Now that I'm looking at the pictures I see we totally match!! Completely unintentional! It's so funny how that happens! It's not that obvious that we spend nearly 24/7 together is it?

Oh and in that last picture there is Avery's signature pose I told you about! I could probably started a series of photos titled "Avery against a wall looking into the distance" (future blackmail maybe? I'm just kidding!!)

All about Avery

 This post is all about Avery! Thought I'd give a little update about what she has been up to, what new things she has learned, what are some of her favorite things are and of course what she is wearing!

This little sweater has appeared the blog before (can't believe it still fits!)

Avery has a natural faux mohawk, always has! Want to know the funny thing about it? I've actually had people ask me if I purposely cut her hair that way! Hahaha the answer is no

Whats that? You think I'm pretty cute? Oh I know!

Avery will be 16 months on the 25th!! Where does time go?? So what has this little lady been up to?

Well some of her favorite things to do:

We are absolutely loving getting to know Avery's personality she is so much fun, so curious, caring and sweet, lovable too. She can also have a little attitude too though as we are finding out recently! 

She is definitely a little lady even when she is going crazy she still does it in a lady like way (it's hard to describe) when we go on play dates even the other parents say something about it! It's funny after being home with her for a week and not seeing other children I forget this little trait of hers until we spend time with other children. At the end of the week I'll be thinking about how crazy she has been or how she has had a little attitude but she is actually pretty well behaved and I think we forget that sometimes.

Avery has also become quite independent! She's okay with going and playing by herself even durring a play date when there's tons of other babies and their parents close by when months ago she would've wanted to be by my side. Sometimes she'll just sit back and watch the other kids it's really cute to see, or she'll go explore on her own. I do want her to start playing with other kids more so i'm looking into a play group or class we can take! Any recommendations for an Arizona Mommy?

 We are amazed every day by how smart she is! We just wonder where did she learn that?? Earlier this week she has playing with a toy car at a friends house and she was rolling and "driving" it around on the floor like a car really does! We dont have toy cars at home and dont think she has ever been shown to do that did she learn that all on her own?? So amazing. She loves learning new things, we always cheer her on so when ever she learns something new or does something she's proud of or thinks we should be proud of too shell look at us with a big grin and go aeaaeee and clap her hands as we say yay and clap along too! She loves getting into things (of course) she will pull the contents out (drawers, boxes, laundry baskets etc..) and sometimes put them back along with other things that don't belong and she will continue to do it for awhile! Her favorite lately has been putting random items into the bath tub, I always have a laugh before I shower at the things I have to take out of the bath first!

I could probably go on and on about Avery (what parent couldn't though?)

But gosh, I am loving this age! I do look forward to her talking more though, Sometimes she gets frustrated because she cant tell us exactly what she wants but with lots of pointing and asking questions we can usually figure it out. I'm so glad we taught her baby sign it has helped tremendously I highly recommend it!

 First off, How cute is she? Secondly this post was originally going to be all about Avery and what she's been up to but "Dah dah" decided to jump in on the photos so it will now be a what baby and daddy wore!  I'll do the Avery post later this week!

Avery loves to clap especially when she does something she's proud of and she looks at us to clap along with her!

She also loves to dea dea (dance, dance) she will stop every 10 seconds if she's in the mood for it to do another dance session, very adorable but also makes walking and getting somewhere a long process. She also expects us to dance along with her and we sure do! No matter where we are and who's looking!

 We know how you feel gumby, she wears us out too! She sure does make every day and moment fun though!

 Brian probably wont like that I put this one up but I think it's too cute not to! A few seconds before they had been dancing together (I really wanted that shot but my camera froze on me) and Avery decided she was done and ran away I love how it looks like she is saying bye dah! The face and pose that Brian is making is EXACTLY how Avery looks when she dances. Too funny I know where she gets her moves from!

Another that Brian may not like because of the face he is making but look at the way Avery is looking at him! Ah it kills me! You can see how much she adores him!

 Gumby is a good teether (he was mine when I was a child! Even has teeth marks from me!)

As we were finishing up Avery started playing with rocks (not my favourite thing for her to do) But brian asked if she could take home a souvenir and for some reason that kind of melted my heart so I said yes and when we got home we washed all of our hands and gave the two rocks that were chosen a really good bath. Hahaha Iʻm wondering if this is going to turn into something and our daughter will end up with a mason jar full of rocks, as long as she doesn't eat them or leave them laying around everywhere I think Iʻd be okay with that. Parenting is so fun and Iʻm so lucky to have these two!
